In industrial practice, the pressure sensor is the most commonly used sensor. It is widely used in various industrial automation environments, including water conservancy and hydropower, railway transportation, building intelligence, production automation, aerospace, military, petrochemical, power, ships, machine tools, pipelines, medical and other industries. Therefore, how should we protect the pressure sensor to extend its service life during use?
Today, we will talk about some problems that we should pay attention to in daily use:
1. Prevent dross from depositing in the liquid and prevent the sensor from contacting with liquid or overheated medium.
2. When measuring the gas pressure, the pressure tap should be on the top of the pipeline, and the sensor should also be installed on the pipeline, so that the accumulated liquid can be easily injected into the pipeline.
3. When measuring the hydraulic pressure, the pressure tap should be set at the side of the assembly line to avoid slag accumulation.
4. The impulse pipe shall be installed at the place where the temperature fluctuation is not large.
5. When measuring the hydraulic pressure, the installation position of the sensor should avoid the hydraulic pressure (water hammer) phenomenon, so as not to cause the sensor overpressure damage.
6. During freezing in winter, anti-freezing measures must be taken for the sensor installed outdoors to avoid the expansion of the liquid at the pressure inlet due to ice, resulting in the loss of the sensor.
7. During wiring, the cable shall be threaded through the waterproof joint or flexible pipe, and the sealing nut shall be tightened to prevent rainwater from penetrating into the transmitter housing through the cable.
8. When measuring steam or other high-temperature medium, it is necessary to connect a condenser such as a buffer tube (coil), so that the working temperature of the sensor cannot exceed the limit value.
